Each team can only earn Tier 1 (T1) or Tier 2 (T2) points from a given opponent in a single week, never both. When a team wins, their opponent has, by definition, lost that week and cannot give out T2 points.
The issue arose when a team received a forfeit win, then scheduled a replacement game and lost it. In that case, the losing team was mistakenly still contributing T2 points to their replacement opponent, even though they had already lost head to head. This made it possible for teams to earn T2 points in every week, or even to appear to have beaten an “undefeated” team.
The scoring logic has been corrected. Teams now receive credit for either the forfeit or the replacement game — never both — ensuring results remain consistent and fair.
